I have 9 year old son who is diagnosed with ADHD.

He attends Catholic school. School is suggesting that he be placed on demerit system next year. I am not sure if that is right way to handle his problem. I see that as punishment.

He has attention, impulsivity and hyperactivity problems. I want him to get help. His problems are coming from his disorder and he should not be punished for that. What is your opinion how should school manage his problems? Is there a program that can be used and that works? Where can I get more information?
